Receptionist/Administration Assistant – Traineeship

The Illawarra ITeC is a Registered Training Organisation and provides small business advisory services, training & various government funded employment services throughout the Illawarra and Southern NSW Region.

This is a 12 month Traineeship Position and offers an opportunity to learn a broad range of administrative skills across a number of business units within the organisation.  Reporting to the Training Co-ordinator, the successful person will be required to work closely with a number of employees and managers, and will be the primary contact with our many clients and key external stakeholders.

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person who shows a genuine willingness to learn and extend their knowledge and experience in an administrative setting.  You will have achieved Year 10 or above and possess above average IT skills.  You will also need excellent communication skills, outstanding attention to detail, be a quick thinking and work to tight deadlines and be able to work as part of busy team.

You will be required to undertake Language, Literacy and Numeracy and Typing Tests as part of the interview process and to complete a Working With Children Check.  You will need to be committed to undertaking a qualification at Cert III or Cert IV level in the 12 month period.

Salary will be in accordance with the National Training Wage Schedule.

  • Personal presentation of a very high standard
  • Current Drivers License (or willing to obtain).
  • Computer skills – intermediate & above (Microsoft Office & Internet usage) and typing 35 wpm.

The Illawarra ITeC is seeking expressions of interest from Qualified Trainers and Assessors seeking casual or contract employment who are professional, passionate and seeking a truly flexible opportunity to utilise their advanced skills. ITeC’s Head Office is located in Wollongong NSW where the majority of face to face training is conducted however you may be required to deliver via correspondence (including digital formats), at the student’s workplace or at other locations throughout the region.

Trainers & Assessors required in 2018 commencing late October in the following positions.

  • Foster, mentor and support your students to be successful and experience a rewarding education process
  • Compile, facilitate and assess units of competency within your professional training discipline
  • Contribute in assessment validation, moderation and development of learning and assessment tools.
  • Complete administration requirements relating to training delivery to meet RTO requirements.

Essential Criteria:

  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
  • TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Hold the qualification you will be training in, or higher with current & relevant industry experience.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Current working with children check or be willing to obtain.
  • Be passionate, knowledgeable, innovative and dedicated in your professional career discipline
  • Exceptional people, time management and admin skills.
  • Intermediate skills with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Be willing to travel if required.
