NSW Basic Food Handler Unit : SITXFSA001 - Use hygienic practices for food safety

This applies to food handlers who directly handle food or food contact surfaces such as cutlery, plates and bowls during the course of their daily work activities. This includes cooks, chefs, caterers, kitchen stewards, kitchen hands, bar, and food and beverage attendants, and sometimes room attendants and front office staff.

Upon successful completion of all assessment requirements you will receive a Statement of Attainment for unit: SITXFSA001 Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety.

NSW Food Safety Supervisor* : SITXFSA002 - Participate in safe food handling practices

Approved by the NSW Food Authority

Includes the three (3) main focus areas of the NSW FSS training as required by the NSW Food Authority as of 01 September 2015

  1. Safe egg handling
  2. Allergen management
  3. Cleaning and sanitising

Upon successful completion of assessment requirements you will receive the following:

  1. NSW FSS certificate
  2. National Statement of Attainment - SITXFSA002 Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices
* Basic Food Handler Unit : SITXFSA001 - Use hygienic practices for food safety is a prerequiset for the NSW Food Supervisor Certification.

NSW Food Safety Supervisor : Recertification Unit*

Approved by the NSW Food Authority

* To undertake the NSW Food Safety Supervisor re-certification course you must hold all three (3) of the following documents and that are valid within the       immediate preceding 5 year period.

  1. SITXFSA101 -  Use hygiene practices for food safety
  2. SITXFSA201 - Participate in safe food handling practices
  3. NSW Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

Upon successful completion of assessment requirements you will receive the following:

  1. NSW Food Safety Supervisor certificate
  2. National Statement of Attainment - SITXFSA001 Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety
  3. National Statement of Attainment - SITXFSA002 Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices

NSW White Card : General Induction Training

This 1 day course covers essential skills such as:

  1. An explanation of WHS/OHS legislative requirements
  2. WHS/OHS communication and reporting processes
  3. WHS/OHS incident response procedures
  4. The identification of construction hazards and control measures

Upon successful completion of assessment requirements you will receive the following:

  1. A NSW General Induction Card
  2. National Statement of Attainment - CPCCOHS1001A - Work safely in the construction industry
